Good afternoon, everyone!
Today is a special day! It’s my honor to represent all the Senior 3 students to deliver a speech at the mobilization meeting.
As we all know, the college entrance examination is not just an exam but a turning point which can lead us to a different road. Besides, it is also a stage where you can show your talent and wisdom. So we should make full preparations for it and live up to our teachers’ and parents’ expectations. In the following 100 days, I will listen to teachers attentively, take every exam seriously, and put myself into the final revision wholeheartedly. I believe as long as we make every effort to study, we all can pass the exam and be admitted to an ideal university.
That’s all. Thank you for your listening!
W: Oh, I must hand in my paper about my research tomorrow morning. I will finish it as soon as possible today.
M: Well, I’m going to meet Kim and Rebecca at the bar. See you later.
W: Uh, maybe I can start my paper a little bit later…
M: Are you going to Sichuan this weekend?
W: No, I have changed my mind. I will go to Hainan instead of going to Sichuan.
M: It sounds good. Have a good trip.
W: Tony said he was good at swimming. Is that true?
M: Well, I taught him to swim so he now knows how to swim, but he often reminds every one of it.
M: What bad weather these days! It has been raining ever since last week.
W: Yes. But the weather forecast says we can expect fine weather in the following days.
W: What did you do during the summer vacation, Peter?
M: I visited Peking, Seoul, Tokyo, and Berlin. And I would have gone to Bangkok if I had had time.
W: What happened to you?
M: I had a little accident at the football game today. I just pulled a muscle in my back.
W: Little accident? You’re obviously in pain. Six months ago, you broke your leg, remember? And you’re still recovering from the ankle injury from three weeks ago. Don’t you think you should sit out of the team?
M: But those aren’t serious injuries.
W: But you’re no longer a 20-year-old boy.
M: Hey! I’m still in perfect physical condition. Don’t try to tell me I’m getting old just because I get injuries now and then.
W: I just worry that you can’t sit, stand or lie down comfortably
